Golf Gti is getting LED back lights

Could someone still make a full guide 'its so simple I dont think there is much point' is bordering on arrogance. I personally would like to see a guide if possible so I at least know what I'm getting myself in for and also for quick sanity checks if nothing else.

Hehe, seriously though, if I had done a full how-to, you would have probably accused me of being patronizing. I mean what do you want me to say? You unscrew the old lights (see manual on how to change a bulb), screw the LED ones in and you're there. All you need is a pair of hands and a 9mm spanner. Takes 10 minutes, if that.

Good grief, I didn't bother with all that nonsense I bought a set of plug & play connectors from eBay in Germany. £35. They work fine.

Did I miss something in the depths of this thread - but wasn't a request flagged to attempt a group purchase of ALL the components necessary to effect this change to LED - or was that just the VAGCOM gizmo?

won't you have to be careful with those ready made adaptors as FroGTI drives on the wrong side of the road 

As SteveP found out when he was given the wrong tail light - couple of bulbs are in the wrong position so it would stand to reason that the wiring will be different too
