Mk6 is the facelift. Who knows what they'll do for the Mk7 - styles may have changed so much that pink and gold are the two most wanted colours....

as the dragons say, i'm out.

this is a sick price for 'just a golf' the 29k i'm paying for a fully loaded gti vs about 43,000 euros (must be getting on for 37k) is just too much  :cry:

De Germans also priced the passat R36 at €47,000
but VW uk sell it for the more reasonable £33,000
So I'd imagine the golf R will be close to the estimated £27-28 k . The high-ish price should maintain exclusivity and keep solid residuals. I for one can't wait... :cool:

lol - are you kidding?  That ain't high-ish, it is outlandish!   The higher you price it, the greater the depreciation!

You can be sure for one thing, if the numbers are big on the R it's certainly going to improve sales on the GTi!

Just dropped my R32 off this morning for probably it's last service...... with me anyway  :cry:

Without a doubt i'll miss it! Not sure if i'll ever get the opportunity to own a car like this again. Not with the way the government is going on taxing drivers!

Im trying to decide between the GTD and GTi. I think the R is going to be over 30k which is gonna be out of my price bracket.
