i just put a new gearbox in my mk3 golf gti all went well until i took it off the ramps know i cant get it into gear when the car is running the arm on the box is as high as it can go I REALLY NEED HELP WITH THIS ONE CAN ANYONE HELP?

sounds like the self-adjust cabnle has packed in. there should be a white plastic clip on it which you use to compress the adjuster to fit/remove the cable. then once fitted release the clip and press the pedal a couple of times to set the adjustment.
or it might be there is a problem with the box itself, I had a similar issue that turned out to be the pushrod had been squashed down so it wasnt long enough to release the clutch. Could also be the release finger has cracked allowing it to slip on the splines. Either can be fixed/checked with the gearbox left in the car, the pushrod can be pulled out and checked for length once the release bearing is removed:
