Hi guys, bought my first mk3 around a month ago, am new to the golf scene, so be nice

haha
When i take a left hand corner at a certain angle/ speed there is a knocking noise around the rear left wheel area, at first i thought the exhaust was hitting something, as it tends to happen when i throttle hard when turning left.
After checking the exhaust, i dont think that is the problem, so have been sort of 'testing' it to see why it happens. It seems to happen when there is a certain amount of strain on that wheel when turning left, even if im going slow into a parking space etc. its a little hard to explain

but i think it has something to do with either the suspension, shock mounts or (gulp) axle bushings....,
but, as i said it only happens when turning left, and i would have thought you would notice axle bushing problems all the time.
so, has anyone else had this sort of problem? and has anyone got any pointers, or other things to look out for to identify the problem?
Cheers,
Dan.
