just turns and turns and turns no spark??

went out last nite, jumped in the car and it just turned and turned and turned would not fire up!

have checked coil and everything seems to be fine from coil but no spark from leads wat so ever,

is this gonna be a f**ked dizzy? have changed arm and cleaned points but still no spark?

Have you done the old spark test. Just start at the plug and work your way back.....

hi check your getting a spark from the king lead from the coil. if you are but none from any of the plug leads then suspect your rotor arm is arcing on the shaft have had that a couple of times. if not then check pulse to coil and work from there. hope that helps

ive checked the king and seems to be nout but i am gettin 12vs across the coil, just gettin a bit stressed as spent a good three hours earlier and got no were, wats wierd is it drove fine friday no problems now just wont start, only thing ive done is topped the coolant up as i no ive a slight leak from the rad. ignition module?

possibly have had probs with them and dizzys check the earth on the gearbox have also seen these come loose and blow ecus before but normaly fill the bore with fuel in that case as it holds injectors open. you should be able to check dizzy with a good probe and see if it is pulsing if not then try another dizzy

last bit in english lol im still gettin used to the old girl coming from a cupra r lol im used to just throwing the comp on and it telling me wats up, have been told earlier that i aint gonna get a spark from the king as the dizzy has a signal wire which will make it not spark if the dizzy has gone. i did consider that the ecu mite has fried but again starting to push my boundries of older engines

at the dizzy you should have three wires one with 12v on, one with earth, and your pulse wire use a noid light or something like that and spin it over and it should flash if not and as long as all wiring is ok then suspect dizzy fcuked

yea thats wat ive been told by me mates dad whose a mechanic he said 95% is the dizzy, great more money

about the only thing i havnt had to replace on the old girl yet after this mine will prob go. an after finding some trees on the back roads last week and destroying my bodywork i think i would scrap the fcuking bloddy lovely thing
