In my opinion, whats the point. The only time they will be of any use is when its icy or snowing and if your jets are iced up then your window will be too. So even if y can spray water on y window it will just freeze again!

they are a waste of time in a mk2. drove mine in some appalling conditions and never had them ice. however, the Bravo i got rid of last year iced at the very mention of the word.
they dont just ice up when its snowing or icy. they will freeze up at above freezing temperatures when you go down a motorway as the wind chill from the speed of the car does them in.

I must say if you're using anti freeze what's the point??

Anti freeze, in the water bottle?
Last year, whenever it was slightly cold, i couldn't use the jets, won't they being heated mean that i could, or are they really that poor?

if you've had problems before, then yeah, shove the heater onto them.
my mk2 never suffered from the problem but it was many years ago and maybe a bit newer at the time.

It does, like you say, only do it when a)Its really cold b)theres a higher wind chill. Just wondered if it was really worth it, seems it might not be then!
