No, I'm not too clever with electronics.

I have a basic idea but thats it. Not a knowledge of it.

I reckon it'll be a good idea if you put a simple schematic up on the board though.
I got a link to a PDF (6kb) of a simple schematic of the kit I bought here http://www.velleman-kit.com/Downloads/0/Infosheet_K3505_off%20lights.pdf

Just wondered if I could add anything to it to finish it off

its fine to be honest but to get it working with parking and lights youll need 2 buzzers.

What about a similar approach to mine:  One wire from door switch to buzzer, and the other side of the buzzer goes into the boot, and then splits and goes to both of the taillights. There are spade terminals on the light units to attach wires.... That has to be a simple and very effective way!?

cant split it to both lights without diodes or it means that the other light will get power cause of the connection.

Yeah, but that doesn't matter, cos it'll remind you all the same!

yer fair point, if you can solder though use the rear of the fuse box saves running to the rear.

Definatley, but i was hoping to give everyone a simple guide, and running it to the rear takes about 5 minutes at the most! It does cost a bit more though, unless you have a lot of wire! All you need to do is remove the kick plate. I ran two wires to the boot so i could have a switch in the dash for my split relay, in the boot.

You can get to all the wires you need for it, by taking off the blank/false switch above the Dip/Headllight switch. (Pull firmly)

Then press your finger on the metal spring clip on the top of the Dip/Headlight switch unit, to push the top out first. ?Then put your finger in a bit more to get just behind the Dip/Headlight unit to get the bottom part out. ?Pull the unit out a few inches for access to the wires.

I think I'll get another kit. ?Easier. Haha.

Thanks for your help guys

Now I can get on with my next trick. ?A motorised sunroof. LOL

Theres a MUCH easier way to get to the switch! Put it in the on position, then lever it out from the bottom! With a screwdriver in the litle slot, that was made for removing the switches!!!!! Then you can remove the plug and do it properly!
