Monza Shadows...ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH!
« on: 01 October 2009, 15:02 »
OK, I've commited the mortal sin & clipped my front passenger side Monza Shadow on the kurb this mornin...

Now I've been quite lucky in the fact that its only a small scuff right on the rim & nothing more major (yet its still the only thing I can see when I look at my now scarred beauty), so I'm hoping that someone out there may be able to recommend summat that can mressurect my alloy to its former glory (apart from buyin a new one! Ha!)

Sorry to hear your misfortune... Is it on the polish bit? Or on the painted black? You may wish to check with ChipsAway.... try googling it... they may be able to help...

If it's scraped on the black bit, just pick a lump of tar up off the road and rub it in to the wound. Should look factory fresh

I have just done the same to my two-week old Gti. I have kerbed the front nearside shadow. The wheel is being sent away to a firm here in Northern Ireland called Nu-Luk Wheels so no car most of next week. And,by the way,I ordered this car in June on my 70th birthday. Am I the oldest owner here?
