Thinking of changing my seats.
« on: 01 October 2009, 12:08 »
I am thinking of changing the seats in my Mark 3 GTi. I have my eye on a set of plain black ones from a Mark 5 Golf. These would match the door cards in my Mark 3.  Would these fit size wise in the Mark 3??  I realise I may have to change the rails over to secure them in but would they be wider/bigger etc??     Cheers      Deano

I'd imagine they'd be slightly bigger/wider, but all should be good if your happy to change the rails. As Len said go get a MK5er to measure them up for you. Or even better, go to a garage near you and measure one yourself :)

you'll need to weld the mk3 sub frames on!! no other seats are direct fit as mk3 frames are unique
