got some ripspeed halfords ones today for £9.99 and if they no good they do a 9.6mm one for £14.99
the guy there says 5mm dont need to have new bolts , he says 5 turns of the nut will be secure enough , happy days man  :nerd:

the real answer you should have been given is, fit new bloody tyres instead of compromising handling/ speedo reading or if you cant afford it then put the old wheels back on until you can!

old wheels have got real dodgy tyres on. :angry:

That may be the case, but the 16"s have the wrong size tyres

fair enough on gettin the correct tyre size. but for a tenner for some spacers, and the tyres that are on the a3 rims are mint.
Why would he want to spend the money on getting 4 new tyres, when for a tenner he can have nearly new tyres and will last a long time. Giving him time to save up for some good correct size tyres at a later date.

I'd do what your doing myself mate. Why waste money now, when you dont have to.

Maybe yes but fitting spacers may or will cure one problem but then your going to run into arch clearance issues as and when you lower it.

I'd be more worried about the speedo reading 8-10% out!! 4 tryes are cheaper than points!!
