can i have advice?
« on: 28 September 2009, 22:34 »
hello ok im 31 and about to pass my driving test /exam soon and plan to get a car  and the thing that frustrates me is i want a car that looks cool attractive and some thing sylish.

any way was was going to get a cool powerful american car a cool v8 but since then have found out the insurance would end up being near 3k so i had to think what is out thier i can afford to insure.

the problem is their are not alot of good looking cars out their that look different it seems to me all new modern cars look all the same no matter  what the make is even the mk5 golf looks like the fords i think the older mk4 looks better reminds me of a cat..

any way i am thinking of spending 2k on a mk4 golf I'm put off getting a mark 3 golf due the the fact i dont like the number plate being in the middle of the boot.

so I'm thinking about getting 2/3 door black mk4 but are golf cars safe and reliable???

my ex girl friend had a mini the new one 2004 i was thinking of getting one but then a power stering pump failed and cost £500 to replace which i though was a bit high so it put me off the mini.

so my consern how will mpg be should i get a petrol or diesal Huh? and whats the best to go for on the insurance side I'm not sure what a bora golf is.

i guess i like the mk4 golf 3 door in black with nice alloy wheels where would be best place to get one im near leeds is it best to get a private one or go to a dealer,

will my golf hold its vaule?

my ideal one would also have cd player with mp3 player built in.

can any one who is golf savy give me some detailed help and advice how are golf  for repaires and parts. and would it be cheap to maintaine and be cheap or should i look at another make of car. but i ant interested in getting one of those smart cars that look like kids toys.
