Did you sign a disclaimer allowing the AA bloke to damage your car??  If not then he legally could not damage the car and the AA would have to replace the lock.  Whilst with Green Flag I used to have to get customers to sign a disclaimer to get the keys out of a car even if I was not damaging it. You have to sign for them to enter the car at all.     Cheers     Deano

cheers deano. she did sign. to be fair even if she didnt i wouldnt want to do that to the aa man - he tried allsorts before resorting to breaking the lock.

it highlighted to me just how easy it is to break into a car though! theres really no point locking them. if a thief decides he wants to be in it just causes more expense in the long run!

Was just thinking mate that if it had manual windows you can get in by using the lock out kit bars to unwind the handle. Takes some time but can be done.     Cheers     Deano

just the lock, no paint damage.

deano, the front doors were open (handles broken so wont lock anyway at the minute - new handles are off on tonight)

the problem is in the cabrio there is no way of getting into the boot from inside the car save for destroying the rear seat.  the back of the seat flips down from a toggle in the boot and you cant get the base of thes seat out to undo any bolts with the upper part in the way
