Monza 2 refurb
« on: 26 September 2009, 13:14 »
I got really dispondent about my Monza's looking crap !  I can't get anyone down here in Cornwall to diamond cut them ,they all want to respray them.
This morning I had a quick go at on of the main spoke sections and rubbing in the direction of rotaion with a flexible sanding block, I was amazed how easy the laquer could be removed it's so thin.
I continued to sand the spoke and soon had a good finish and applied laquer, it now looks superb, so will try to do a Whole wheel next.
Can anyone give any tips and what is the toughest laquer to use in your experience.

Cost less than forty quid!
Took 12 hours and has transformed the car ,I don't have money to spare at the moment so am well chuffed and it was sooo easy to do.
Thanks for help with the pics as well. I stuck the nuts onto the board and then poped the nut covers on and sprayed them,I know they are cheap to buy ,but you can have them any colour you like, Simples!
