Sorry for hijacking your thread dude, but now that this is answered, does anyone know where I can buy a red GTi grille badge?

You could try a Mk4 Anni rear badge, and stick it on the front grille carrier - 1J0 853 675 AK - about £35 from the stealer.

No, lift the bonnet up and there is a sort of catch on the back of the badge which you fidle with (its really hard to explain with words, easier to show you) to remove to badge. The new one will simply slot back into it and you twist it back into place so there is no need to remove the grille.

ive just received a black grille badge from dubstop. i tried to have a quick look behind the existing badge yesterday but couldnt obviously see the catch. can someone please explain a bit more about the 'fiddle' to remove it ?    :smiley:

No catch for me mate, just turned the badge (think it was anti-clockwise) and pulled it out.
