I've seen pictures of this sort of thing for the standard Golf front bumper, but not for the GTI - yet. I'm sure someone will have something available before too long.

The closest I've found so far are these things from Rieger, but they're for the standard Golf and still look a bit tacky, IMHO. I want ultra-discrete and more OEM-looking.

Someone has also fitted the Seat Cupra R front splitter to an Audi TT with a little adjustment and trimming, but thats a full width add on below the existing spoiler lip !

Thanks, but I am really after ones that look like the BMW splitters, but are shaped to fit a GTI. The GTI's nose is so tapered, I don't know if I could adapt ones from other cars.
