Mk2 Golf Gearbox help

Hello i have a mk2 golf 1.3 4 speed gearbox one big problem the gears are stuck in 3rd and 4th anyone know how to fix this problem for temp use?
I Drive.. Mk2 Golf 1.3 & Mk2 Golf 1.8 Gti

Hi welcome to the site,do you mean that its very hard to change into 3rd and fourth? or hard to change from 3rd to fourth,just abit unsure of the problem you are having as obviously it would be impossible for the car to be perminently stuck in 3rd and 4th at the same time.
bit more info and you may get some help buddy.  :smiley:

Well like my gear stick is stuck to the right i can onli move it in2 3rd and 4th... checked all links there fine...was just wonderin if it can be fixed or buy a new gear box?

have a look in the engine bay while someone moves the linkage, the probnlem may become obvious!

Have the same problem with my 1.3 Golf MK2 - stuck in 3rd and 4th gear, can't move the stick to the left :(

Did you ever find a solution?

sounds like a linkage problem to me
should be an easy cheap fix.
