Maybe time to part ways....

After 6 blissful months of cracking driving a recent change of career has resulted in an 80 mile a day commute so i'm seriously considering a derv....
Anyone got any suggestions for an alternative? It's gotta be german, thinking maybe a 320d or an A3? The mk5 dervs just dont do it for me after owning a GTi...

Would go A3 170bhp if I were you. I drove one last week with the S-Tronic (DSG) box and it was impressive. We have a A3 Sportback 2.0T and performance wise there ain't much in it apart from 45mpg compared to 27mpg!!
Seat Leon also but it not everyones cup of tea... Cheaper though

I had a MK2 Seat Leon FR TDi 170. I was lucky to see 40-42 on a long run. The DPF (diesel Particle Filter) hammers the economy.
If I were you, I would buy a 140 TDi and map it up a touch, and drive the wheels off it!
