WTF is an e34 M535i anyway? The only M535i I know of was the e28. The e34 535i put out the same hp (when new!) as the MkVI GTI, but weighed 200kg more... I rest my case.

the picture is an e28 you donut. it might have an extra kilo or two but it has a lsd and a driver that doesn't care too much if it gets scratched by the hedges. most mk6 gti owners will be driving to protect their paint.

edit wrt mgf/wheel off - at no point did a wheel come off the mgf, i pulled a tyre off the rim whilst going sideways. also NOT on a publicly owned road.

i'll give any gti a fair go in my shed

To prove what exactly?

i have a lot more fun but spent a lot less cash and a more rare car

what car do you drive?  is it the one in your signature cause if it is i wouldn't race you.  i would be too busy laughing!!

This is a very typical new car owner attitude. Dont understand history / classic cars / etc and dont know what theyre looking at half the time.
Just cos it doesnt look like its fast or cost the owner 25k + 3k a year depreciation, dont mean that it isnt any good

then again, i wouldnt expect a new audi rs4 driver to know what a rs2, URCQ is, so i guess its fair enough.
S4 Avant. Eibach springs. 18" Avus. RS4 Intercoolers. Viper Tuned. Goes Fast.

Some of us do know our onions  I own quite a few old cars some dating back to the 50s
Im wary of chavs in there paxos, corsas and novas, BMW showoffs, mundano man, but especially Micra and Vulva drivers. Oh and mk5 GTI DSG owners who feel like they have something to proove

i'm more than appreciative of older cars.  but that particular one is a piece of sh1t.  in my humble opinion.
