Seem to be a fair number of newbie GTI owners living in Hertfordshire!!  I know St Albans pretty well and presume because of its proximity to London where the big wages are paid that maybe most of you are in that boat.  Not that I'm knocking any of you just interested to see that there are more peeps on here from Hertfordshire than anywhere else.

Yesterday I drove from South Cambridgeshire to Reading for a business meeting. I did not see a single MK6 GTI over that trip until I got back home to Herts where I saw a red 3 door and a gleaming black 5 door parked up. Definitley minted in Herts  

Was that you yesterday Matchboy? Mid afternoon in Royston?

I put Cambridge because thats where I work and I was paranoid about disclosing where I live after the MK5 got nicked from off the drive a couple of months ago. I actually live in Herts and you all seem fairly trustworthy

no, not me mate, i was at work - wish it was me driving around in the day lol!  there is another black GTI i've seen coming into royston, as i saw him about 2 days before i picked mine up.

along with mine, yours and this chaps one, i've also seen another black one in hertford.  but that's it!  hertfordshire is the county to be in!!  i drove to the seaside last week while we were off and in a good 200 mile round trip i didn't see one!
