Mk5 engine used for Golf R
« on: 16 September 2009, 17:07 »
The new Golf R uses a modified Mk5 engine, not the engine from the Mk6.  Ours must be tougher.
Plus VW have ditched the haldex and put real 4WD on it.

Should be a corker.  (Looks a bit drab though)

The engine story is two days old.
I've locked that topic and started one with the real name "Golf R"

Oh no, better lock most other threads in all the other sections, they are well past 2 days old, regardless of there relevance or the helpful links in them.

If your going to fail do it with some grace

Why don't you start a decent topic then?

It's easy to snipe from the galleries.

So the Golf R now has a longitudinal engine and transmission, rather than the transverse layout?
