golfvr6,

Nope, I've sold my old alloys, so can't try that...

I took it to a tyre place though, and the guy there reckons that the wheels need some spacers which clip into the wheel and then fit around the hub nut when on the car... He seemed to think it could be that causing it.

I'm going to try and contact OZ to see if I can get a set.

Car no better, switched the alloys from front to back, and still bad.

No idea what it is now.

I have checked the brakes, wheels, tracking, balancing, and camber, still no idea what is causing this.

Bearings, trac rod ends and bearing nut seems ok, so I now have no Idea what is causing this, any ideas?

Im guessing its the track control arm (Wishbone) bushes and the anti roll bar eye bolt bushes, many garages missed mine and then when I took my car to Feltham tyres to get new front tyres and get the camber sorted he found the fault in less than a minute, got the parts from German Swedish for about ?65 and swapped em over, now there is a tiny amount of vibration but only when braking but im sure one of my calipers isnt too good.

If you do change them you will need a good torque wrench good for 130 nm's and some patience, on the vertical bolts there is a split sleeve inside the bush which is probably corroded in place and will need abuse with a screwdriver to remove it once removed getting the new ones in place will test the patience......As it did mine and the bolts have to be tightened to 130 and no less you have been warned

I have just noticed a knock from the passenger side when I hit a bump, but it only apears when the steering wheel is turned, so there is something worn around there, I am just surprised if there is something worn or loose how it has not been picked up in two MOT's.

Will try and have a look this weekend.

I have been to three places today, and all 3 places have told me I have the problem due to not having spiggot rings installed in my alloys, I have just contacted the supplier and they are going to provide me with some free of charge.

I hope this sorts out the problem. I will let you how I get on.

Got my spiggot rings attached, and my vibration problems seem to have disapeared.

All this hassle, for 4 plastic rings, which I should have had fitted with the alloys.

Not to worry all sorted now. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
