Glad I ordered when I did! I just hope they're not going to say I have to pay more now...

No, it seems to be extremely clear that anyone who ordered and got their car confirmed in the system before 1st September (I think the deadline was said to be 10.30am on 1st September?) is price-protected.

If you ordered after that date cancel your order and see what happens.

We've just had a situation where a customer ordered their car last month (price protected - no problem there) but called up this week to add an option. Whilst we can amend the order still, Volkswagen consider this to be a new order and because a new order form will have to be signed, they have advised us that the customer will now be succeptable to the price increase! Hence the sunroof the customer wishes to add, would actually cost about £1200 including the price increase.

He didn't add the sunroof!. Sadly there is nothing we can do in that situation. but worth knowing if you are tempted to add anything to your orders after they have been placed.

Mine would have been £650 more due to the price rise.

The sterling is nowhere near 1.5 euro it was not that long ago and that hurts VW. I bet prices in euro stay the same...

No price increase this side of the Channel (yet..!) However, base price here in France is €28,250, which at current exchange rates equates to about £23,500, so about £500 more than in the UK, I believe?
