huge change of circumstances.. i have 4 golfs, 3 have to go while i try something new for a while.. i'll have another R one day, with a turbo on it :cool:

GTIs are doing pretty well...

I paid £15K from a dealer for my 2007(57) 8 mths ago.......had a look on we buy anycar and they offerred me £15200!!!

Andy.....problem is, I cant part with it......its the perfect motor!!!......

Just thought I would take a quick look out of curiosity, 2005/55 GTI 3-door (fully loaded sat nav, leather, xenons etc) bought in April for £8800, webuyanycar.com will buy it off me for £9100! Even with nearly 8k miles put on it since then.

Remarkable really... never thought buying a car could be fun AND an viable economic investment :D

However as the poster above me said.... don't want to sell it anyway so doesnt matter what they value it at :)

I also stuck my car into webuyanycar and for an 05 plate 5 door with leather and satnav 41k miles - just over £10k.  Quite impressed!  Not looking to sell but nice to know.

try buying a new one for £23k 3 years ago, thats a heart stopping amount of depreication.  :sad:
