Dash Illumination Conversion Kit
« on: 24 August 2009, 14:44 »
Wondered if there is anything out there to convert the crappy Mk3 green lit speedo to a proper Mk4 style rear LED lit dial kit?!?!

Or has anyone done anything similar with pictures?!?!

But are these actuallu conversion kits not just changing the green bulbs to blue?

I actually want a proper back lit led dial conversion, not just a bulb change of the stock front illuminated dash?

I think the ones you are after fella are probably the Dub Design Industry ones. They have wiring into the dials to illuminate the numbers.

They do look good but they aren't cheap.

Here you go.

When I have the time I'll be doing a DIY job for my Mk2.  I'll get some stainless dials from Metal Monkey and put some el foil behind, with red lit needles.  Fiddly, but worth it.
