stage 1 revo mk5 only giving 1.1 boost, should be 1.5????!!!!!

hey ppl can u help me plz. just had my boost levels chekd etc and it seems my car is running a lower boost than expected. should be peaking around 1.5 but peaks at 1.1. thers no leaks in the hoses and my dump valv is fine just been replaced. any idea any1??

1.1 bar = 15.9541512 PSI

Thats stock numbers (on an edition 30)

Im on stage1 and get around 23 PSI = 1.58579418 bar

That sounds about right. A stage 2+ runs 1.5 bar.

Std ed 30 should peak at 0.9bar not 1.1????

I have read a few threads about this in the last couple of days - seems like a few of the tuners have got the maps slightly wrong and on some cars the fuel pump (the one in the engine bay) can't supply the requested pressure and the ECU reduces the boost significantly.

Does it only do it in higher gears?

1st gear and 2nd gear only lost a little power. 3rd is ok too. but yes 4th 5th and 6th suffer the most. i think it mite be a faulty flap motor in the intake manifold. or i have been told.

Mine accoarding to my Vagcom logging data, (edition30) im pulling 1.8 Bar from my stage 1 Bluefin from 2500 to almost 6300rpm

The Bluefin map does request high boost readings looking at the data.

did you get a screendump of vc scope of that steve? or even the tables will do... would be interesting to see!
