Best place to to buy replacement vw golf mk4 key

Hi i was looking to buy a vw golf mk4 key as my current one is battered.

I rang vw and had a shock £180 no chance

Some one told me that if i bought a black vw key with fob and transponder and get the key cut and then get it programmed it would be cheaper.

Where can i pick one up cheap?  what price should i be paying for buying the key and programming it.
