I like the way you have no petrol. Is that for weight saving?  ;D

yeah the black 16v was infront most of the way,
trying to film a car thats behind you at 130 mph isnt terribly safe

In the video it's all on open dual carriageway, just where a valver can really stretch it's legs and get at all that extra high revving power over the 8v, in standard trim the valver got an extra 10mph top speed and so should have been going away from you !?! Being that close I can only assume that either your 8v is not standard or your mates 16v is not in the best state of tune.

Did you also get to get to go head to head on slower roads, and also off the lights as most of the 16v owners on this site seem to think a valver is a good second quicker to 60mph, even though the vw figures quotes 8.3 and 7.9 respectively??

both have magnex exhausts.. and the 8v has an induction kit
Used to have a '97 MK3 16v GTI 3dr in 'Black Magic'... now have a '55 Civic Type-S...

Has the 8v been tuned since having the induction kit fitted?

mayb the 8v is a quick 8v and well looked after engine. id say mine would give a 16v a run for its money. something ive always wanted to do

I ran a 16V from a standing start, He had 19s and a nackerd tranny, I was ahead of him off the line and feeling all good about my self, Untill i hit about 40 - 50MPH and watched him fly past and head off into the distance  :-\
