WTF specialised car insurance?
« on: 17 August 2009, 20:28 »
Not a complaint or moan but i was just surprised.
Used confused.com to get a quote for the MK5 Golf Gti Edition 30 myself as main driver, fully comp, with sp50 and accident(which they ddint count as it was more than 3 years ago), both parents who had fully clean licences. Im 24 and will be getting 3 years NCB soon(fingers crossed).
Admiral quoted me 1042 fully comp.Yes i have spoke to a real live person on the phone at admiral who said the price was correct!
Brentacre quote me £1698. Without parents they said it wouldn't matter.
HIC said same as adrian flux who quoted me £2000?
So isn't that weird? or am i missing something? I thought the specialised companies would've quoted me cheaper , ah well.

It's standard though. As soon as you mod it Admiral will shoot up and the others will seem much cheaper!

To my knowledge Admiral wont let you mod it? At least Elephant wouldn't let me mod mine and they are the same company ?  ?

I filled in the form for Greenlight and no one called me back, no messages or emails or anything.
I'll not be modding this car for at least a year anyways
