OOOoopppssss.
on me way back from work late this after noon i decided to give the old 16v valve a bit of welly, and whilst at approx 70-80 mph one of those dosey bloddy birds jumped out in front of me!!!! 'THUDD' it went , feathers and shate every where, when i pulled over hte thing was sat behine be big bumper in front of the radiator, as well as pushing me rad back off its top mounts it also took out my horn, n/s headlamp (just replaced for mot!!), single headlaamp grill and its fooked all the slam panel, luckily the bumper and bonnet are fine.
Any way a trip round to the inlaws (where i keeps my spares..) i dug out my old gti grill, the headlamp which i swapped last week, and ive got a mint slam panel as well. I couldnt be arsed to do the slam panel today but ill swap it at the weekend so i just pulled out the old one as best i could so the headlamp fits ok. The thing im most gutted about is the metal strip that fits on the grill, i took so much care not to damage this when i put my new grill on at gti fest its now bloody bent!!!
so what out for Roadkill peeps!!!

these 3 bar grills you can buy, is there any that dont need the metal strip putting on?? id prefer a 'all black' front and just wondered if there was any that didnt reqire that strip!!
