Paint for the engine block
« on: 15 August 2009, 08:18 »
Hi Guys,

I've just had me bodywork done on the golf and now I want to move onto the engine bay.

I have cleaned out the engine bay and painted the rocker cover etc. but I want to paint the block as it's very unsightly

I've heard that some guys have used smooth hammerite on it but just wondering what you guys would recommend.

Cheers

I still haven't got round to this yet  :embarassed:

Yep, I have Len. Fortunately my older brother runs a garage and has TFR (I think that's what it's called  :undecided:) spray. Going to give it a good steaming out with that before I get started.

TFR - Traffic Film Remover, make sure its caustic free before you blast it around the engine bay.

It is mate, he uses it when he's cleaning the motors up ready for selling.
