17"s are not too big, the issue is the pattern / style.

haha i'm glad the majority of you agree that they are indeed "pony"!.......i'm sure someone will want them though....time to get rid and pop them on fleebay! then I can find some BBS!

Hi Guys,

I recently purchased my Gti Mk3 8v and it came with these wheels.......they are Boss 17inch alloys and although I'm vaguely familiar with the make they are just not my cup of tea.....what do you guys think?.....am I just being a plonker or should i go for some BBS VR6 ones i'm currently craving for?...opinons please.

I have those exact wheels on my valver, although the center caps ar BK Racing. They look a whole lot better once the car is lowered. I'll try an upload some pictures tomorrow.

I would personally get rid of asap. Mikester has the right idea, the design of them looks like they belong a Jap car, not suited to Golfs at all in my opinion. Sorry.
