mk4 1.8 20v inner cv boot on the o/s/f shaft split.

can u change the boot or do you need to change the whole shaft.

if  i remove the shaft will the box oil come pissing out or is that on the n/s shaft??

Am changing my inner boot on my tdi 150 next week, around £15 from VeeW services or around £30 from the dealers
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

managed to get one, £14 geuine part, looks easy enough to change, will do it next week maybes.

Fitted it 2day, was a pain in the arse, ball bearings went fookin everywhere, managed it in the end.

One stupid design i came across is that i had to unbolt the wish bone as i could not get the shocker fully out of the hub, shock came out nicely once the wishbone wasnt attached to the subframe.
