MK3 and MK4 Driveshafts
« on: 14 August 2009, 12:09 »
Does anybody know if any inner or outer CV joints are interchangable between early and later cars?

Does anybody know the number of splines on the driveshafts?

If you need me to be more specific then i can, but i'm planning on putting an 02m FWD box into a 16v corrado and am looking for std driveshafts rather than getting some made.

are there any outer CVs (from a 'later' car) that have the same splines as corrado 16v hubs? or vr6 for that matter?

Any thoughts welcome   :undecided:

ok, So i've read that mk4 outer CV's share the same splines with vr6 outer cv's.

Can anybody confirm this?

Thanks

Doubt anyone is going to know, unless you can get someone on the MK4 forum that knows how many splines and the diameter and someone that knows the same for VR6 ones.  :undecided:
Golf MK3 1.8 auto and I didn't pay a grand for the "priveledge", auto windows all round and a AC. Oh and I've got a luggage net you pricks!

Does that make my willy look bigger?

Oh yeah it's called Helda or something....
