Have you tried the action outlined here to reset the key? I've not done this myself but it may be worth trying.

Just a update at the moment, im getting there slowly each day it seems lol

I managed to get the car remote working now, had to get it reset at the garage £20 out of pocket :(

But he couldnt get my doors to open still from the outside, the only way to access the car is through the boot. Do you think this is electric or more mechanical problem?

I cant see the AA doing much coz there useluss lol

I just found out the problem for 100 percent sure, there is no actual physical key lock on the car, i think the car was previously attempted to be stolen and key lock was broken into and wasnt ever replaced due to the obvious cost.

So this now is a problem, i only got couple of options.

I need to try and get access to the battery so i can get the immboaliser to work, whats the best way to do this?

I can either get into the car some how nt sure how, possible window to be smashed or just try to open the bonnet some how but not sure how i can do that as car cant be move :(

Another thought - get an indepenent car glass fitter to remove the rear screen - then you can climb through the rear window opening, release the bonnet with the normal handle, and then charge up your battery (though you seriously ought to think about replacing it - because modern car batteries are generally scrap once they become completely discharged).  Then you could replace the rear screen with a factory tinted one!

Basically got into the car today, got the bonnet open and managed to get the boot open some how.

Hope you didn't do any damage.

But the thing is now my doors dont open from the outside when i use the key control. Any ideas whats going on here? do you think its de locked from the outside now? but the doors when your in the car open from the inside just not from the outside?

That will be because the doors are deadlocked.  And the keys need synchronising.

Mate i managed to get the battery charged and the remote is working now, the alarm is again showing.

But the only thing is the doors dont open, from the inside they do but not from the outside. the boot opens but the two doors dont open when im out the car, so only way to get in the car at the moment is through the boot lol. I think i may have to take the door cards out to see if its a mechanism thats wrong, cant think what else it could be really?

How hard is it to get the door cards out?

try holding down the open button on the key. it should lower the windows after 3 seconds and then you can open from the inside by reaching in

Thanks for the tip got that working now, little easier :)

Any ideas what i can do with the doors from the outside, i think they might need a new mechanism as they were dead locked?

Faz, its late, and I'm too knackered to check, but I suspect there may be some fault codes in your central convenience module - find someone with vag-com to clear the codes, and re-adapt the coding in the module.

No luck at the moment, is it more likely to be a mechanical problem or electrical you feel?

Its just both doors dont open, the boot is fine, the windows are fine. I resetted so it directs for the doors to be open but they just dont open from the outside which i find weird.
