We have a '97 GL, no alarm.

Not stock.

Could be any number or reasons.
Golf MK3 1.8 auto and I didn't pay a grand for the "priveledge", auto windows all round and a AC. Oh and I've got a luggage net you pricks!

Does that make my willy look bigger?

Oh yeah it's called Helda or something....

How can you tell?

I'm pretty sure it wasn't an extra from VW, maybe at the dealer and was upgraded by another professional?

It wouldn't surprise me if it was an optional extra as my 1996 GL has the alarm in place but it was disconnected, yet it has the sensors and cables running to a unit in the dash. I dare not to mess with it though lol!
