Bought a load of cleaning stuffz
« on: 08 August 2009, 18:05 »
Hope this brings the old girls shine back
Turtle wax shampoo hard core stuff for really dirty cars  :embarassed:  (apparently and it's not the nano tech stuff and has no wax in it, innit)
Bug & tar remover (forgot the brand)
Simoniz Diamond hard wax
AutoGlym Resin polish

Various rags, drying towels & polishing cloths, oh and a lambs wool washing mit

I skipped the clay this time because I will only have at most 2 hours to wash, wax and polish her tomorrow morning anyway. I'll get the clay another time.

I'll get before and after shots of her aswell, she's pretty dirty but the red hides it well (not washed her since I got her  :embarassed:  )

This time tomorrow she'll be gleeming clean (hopefully)

ermm £60 for everything I bought  :lipsrsealed:

I only bought it there because I want to wash her tomorrow and can't wait another week without cleaning her.

I got the Turtle wax Shampoop because it says it's good for cleaning really dirty cars and as I've not washed the old girl since I got her about 2 months ago (due to the crap weather and no place to wash her) I thought I'd give it a go - it's not the normal shampoop from them.

Was about £7 for the bottle, similar to this stuff, but in a clean bottle with blue liquid inside:

How much does Guy charge then?

Can you text me if you read this too late / early if you are.

Finally got round to cleaning her today! I spent two and a half hours with a pretty basic wash (a good 45 mins on the wheels, Sebrings are pain with all those spokes  )

She looks SOOOO much better now though, I used Linseed oil on the black trims and some of the black rubber and she looks half decent again

I'll have to do another full wash, bug & tar removal, wax & polish soon while she's mostly clean. I'll get pics up after dinner

Forgot to take before shots, but this pic was taken last night, you can see how dirty the wheels were:
