I paid £125 each all in from my local tyre fitters, so the price is very good, but not suspicious.

Don't forget it is hard to compare a new tyre with a worn out old one. They usually seem much better .

(The F1s are good, though !)

....

My VW dealer will always match the best price I can get for tyres and so I paid £220 for a pair.

With the Goodyear Assymetrics it's important to realise that if your other axle still has directionals, the ESP will occasionally think it needs to help you and it results in a 'snatch'. It tends to happen randomly in fast sweeping bends and is very worrying until you realise what's going on. I used to just drive on through it.

Great tyres those F1 Assyms.

....Cheers, mate! I'm going there again in a few weeks . Photo of my car is by Jorg Jakowski.

To try and keep this on topic, I found the Goodyear assyms very good around the Nordschliefe even when it started to rain. I did slow down though!

He has both 17 and 18" Monzas but for everyday use uses the 18" ones.

.... What else do you know about what I've got in my garage!?

I use Monza 18's for everyday (powdercoated Smoked Chrome to combat the white worm) but still have my original Monza 17's which I'm now thinking of powdercoating black and using for 'track' toll road (Nurburgring only!).

Great tyre

I used to get 245 17's fitted for £90 a corner of F1s but that is still a very good price

Bracknell Tyre is the place to go :D

Hi everone these tyres just keep getting better and better, in the wet and dry makes no differance, completely transformed my car and cant believe how bad the Dunlop Sport Maxx are.
The best tyre i have ever had and would reccomend them.

I actually can't wait till my Dunlops are scrubbed.... in the the dry they are ok, but in the wet they are just laughable - its like driving on ice

F1s all the way - always had them and they are brilliant
