^^^^ cool pic. Those tyres fill the arches nicely - you got wider wheels on there or something?

Thanks  For those who are not so au fait regarding my wheels, the Interlagos are 8" wide and have 235 section tyres on, which basically means that they stick out 1/4" more than the standard 18" wheels/tyres. Not a huge difference, but I think it gives the car a more purposeful stance.

due to the different offset of the scirocco wheels they probably stickout more like 0.6 inch when i did the calculations

You could be right. I'd say they protrude from the arches by about 1/4", but it's difficult to say exactly without the benefit of a stock GTI to hand for comparison. Anyway, I've got used to them now and they appear perfectly 'normal' when I turn around and view the car from a distance.

Anyway, I just spent the whole morning cleaning cars and generally tidying up the garage and I thought it was worth a picture

Thanks  It's not that I don't believe you about the 0.6 inches. What I mean is that the Interlagos stick out about 1/4" from the wheelarches, but probably 0.6 inches more overall than the standard Monzas, as these remain a few mm inside the arches. Not very elegantly put, but I hope you get my meaning
