I like the exhausts, it looks like the GTI Worthersee.

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

I found a speck of dust on the tailgate this afternoon, so it was a good excuse to give the whole car a good waxing in the sunshine (the forecast thunderstorms never materialised) ;)

I do like the colour of your car but I really am no fan of those wheels! It just looks so unlike a GTI. Sorry but that's just my opinion, looks great with a good polish, I cleaned mine for the first time today then polished it and a bloody great seagull came along and shat on it.

Sorry to hear about the gull poo! I know what you mean about the wheels, but I really like them: it's a 'unique GTI' and most people - at least here in France - have been very positive about the overall look of the car. I wouldn't normally put non-standard wheels on any car, but such is my dislkie of the Monzas that I didn't really have any choice.

Damn seagulls, the sh!t hits the bonnet at such a rate you think it's almost dented it.

The glossy finish looks awesome. Was it achieved by you or the dealer? Looking at the photos you posted when it arrived at the dealers it looked some what grimey.

What wax and/or polish are you using?

Here's a quick pic. Many of you will not like the Interlagos wheels, but I love them:

Those first pictures I posted were of the car when it had just come off the transporter at the dealers and it was covered in protective wax & dirt. Also, I took those pix witha simple pocket size digital camera.

Since then the car has been thoroughly cleaned & waxed by both the dealer and me (I use Autoglym), but to be fair, I think the main reason why the paintwork looks so shiny now is down to the camera: a reflex fitted with a polarizing filter :)

Anyway, thanks for all your positive feedback, I am really enjoying the car. It's probably the nicest car to drive I have ever owned, along with my sorely missed 330d.
