Not on the stereo, Came up on the diagnostic reader,Had no end of problems with the engine just dying and not re-starting straight away,so far replaced coil,fuel  pump relay ,crank sensor and managed to burnout starter motor trying to get the engine to start, no set reason for the engine cutting out,it can be at tick over or under load,getting so fed up I 'm even thinking of getting rid !!!

The only fault codes I have are 4 figure numbers. These are for VW-Audi's that were built around 1990.

I was informed by the garage that this code had come via the self diagnostic reader,they have since told me that this code related to the crank sensor which has been replaced but I still have this problem of the engine dying.
My  Golf GTI is a 1997 3 door model.
