Around 4 months wait is not bad for a car which is so desirable! Had wait longer for a car in the past!

Judging by your nick, that wouldn't be a Porsche 911 by chance would it?

If so that would vindicate Top Gear's review!

Mk6 Golf GTI 5dr, DBP, Monza Shadow, Xenons, ACC, RCD510, Park Assist, Camera, Lux pack.... and now bluetooth.... and now DSG!

No, the longest wait is for a 2.5l boxster. That was in 1996-1997 when everyone was crazy about a 2 seat roadster----SLK, Z3 and Boxster. Remember those days when you can actually made a decent profit when you are one of the first lucky sod to get your hands on these cars.

The Boxster concept in 1993 in Frank motorshow looked absolutely stunning. I went to my local official Porsche dealer to express my interest and was told they will inform me once Porsche GB accept deposit. Deposit placed in April 1996 and my car arrived in UK in Late November 96. Pick up the car on January 1997. A bit disapponted it looks no where near as good as the concept car but I still enjoy every mile in that car!

I bought the gen 2 997 last summer. Waited just 4 months---thnks the credit crunch I even manage a good deal. Test drove a Vantage 4.7 and R8 V8 before taking the plunge. Wish I had won the lottery and take all three cars home! All 3 cars are fantastic in their own way!

The Golf is my daily transport. It will replace the 135i. Why Golf? Because its still the best hothatch outthere. Well done to those VW engineer who came up with the GTI concept in 1976!

One of the guy I met at a car meet drove a 3 year old Audi A3 diesel S-line to work. His other car is a Lp-560! He only use the car in the summer and when the weather is dry!
