FEEL A BIT GUTTED!

Went to pick my Anniversary wheels up today after refurbishmentb from rimtek in kent, and to find that the wheels were still in two pieces? they thought i was going to put them back together, but the biggest dissapointment was all the diamond polished edge's have SCRATCHES in them! they said oh that will come out with a bit of compound

Going back tomorrow to talk more as im not happy

Anyone had a similar experiance?

Not a good experience there then.  Anyone these days doing a job doesnt seem to take too much pride...seems everyone is jaded and no commitment, unless its your own business.  Having just had to tell an audio installer to change the wiring around to get it right and then they either haven't fixed the mirror adjustor back in position or have broken it...seems slack.

Presume you got a price on the wheels and talked through the split and refurb?  I've gotta say i'd expect the wheels to at least look spot on albeit maybe in two halves if you didnt specify, but to have surface scratches still on em after a refurb would be taking the p!ss

Done me homework, everyone seems to be well happy with the service! agreed a price for them to be built and tyres on when collected.
The scratches looks to be in the laquer and not the polishing but i wanted a refurb! not a bloody crash course with compound and lots of elbow grease

as dtea says, nobody takes pride anymore so annoying - i just spent2 hours trying to poilsh 2 doors up for the vw fest - and im only just happy with it, lol -

Did you end up in the car park with everyone else? or actually manage to get at least the field with all the other dubs?  I had to leave mine in the car park where some tw4t scratched the passenger door slightly...gonna have to buy some bloody Megs now and have a proper go at "cleaning" the car

yeah, the proper clean up is on the cards next saturday! - where i shall poilish the rest, lol!
i actually ended up on the peak vags club stand, so right in the thick of it!

I polished the car up yesterday eve with some of my old autoglym stuff just to cover the car...but i gotta say i reckon i'll be getting some Meg's or that Dodo juice and giving it a go properly...not before next weekend tho!  Happened in the main car park where all the general population go, so no other dubs near me...geezers at Tatton wouldn't let me near the field...think it was the dog guard in the back that made em keep me out

I'm making the trip to Leeds for sure...might be taking the missus and nipper up again but not sure yet... you up for convoy or owt?
