Snow foam lance (non powerwasher)
« on: 03 August 2009, 23:06 »
http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/gilmour-foamaster-ii-pro-foam-gun-and-free-1-litre-snow-fo.php

I'm considering the above. Does anyone have this? How is it in comparison to the powerwasher one? My mum has a karcher but I prefer to just use the hose, I may consider the attachment for the karcher if the gilmour isn't very good.

The Gilmour is an ok attachment, however it can't be compared to a proper lance for a pressure washer. Just to compare, here is a few cars I have done, the Porsche and Subaru with the Gilmour, the Lexus and Bentley with the lance for the pressure washer

i recently got the 'super spray attachment for the hose and worked well did give good coverage of the car think i need to play with the snowfoam ammount, but the obvious advantages of the pressure washer is its got aloth more presure so will give a thicker ammount of foam

well thats how i see it ???

but used snow foam for the first time last wk end and its awesome stuff!!!

as said above it cant be compaired to the lance option but its a good pre-wash tool and will speed up your wash process.

I've tried supersprays, gilmours and a couple of other foam lances none of them really did much more than throwing a bucket of soapy water over the car.

Got a HD lance for my Karcher and this is the result with cleanyourcar.co.uk ph neutral snow foam.

after 5 minutes of sitting on the car.

You will only get good results with a Gilmore if you have decent pressure.  I use a Super Soaker as a pre wash if I'm not using snow foam.
