Would find another dealer if i were you.
They should have asked for your chassis number then could have sold ya the correct ones.
But then i dont think they are any different in the Mk 3.

Hello again everybody

Does anyone know which numbers are stamped on the Fuel Pump and ECU relays

I don't mean the part number, I mean the number that VW stamp on, e.g 72

Hi,
I have the Fuel Pump relay in my hand (part No. 165906381) and the No. 30 is stamped on it

I have ordered the ECU relay (part No.191906383C) and should have the No. by later on today

All having the same problems eh ! .
I posted back in January about this fault if this doesn't cure your problem have a look at my thread:

http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?board=5;action=display;threadid=5481

although there's stacks on this throughout the forum.

Mine no-longer cuts out but is very "on & off" with the throttle and prone to the occasional rev-rise and kangarooing

Will post with the ECU No later

Think the ECU is No. 33.

The info that I have says that the ECU Engine Management relay is No 30 part #165906381

And the Fuel Pump relay is #167 Part #191906383C

Confusion............
