First drive of my spanking new GTI Mk6

Those are the first decent pix I've seen of a United Grey GTI and I must say it looks very good. I reckon it's going to be one of the rarest colours around, along with Shadow Blue. Congrats.

PS. I'm a little disappointed that you didn't really drive at 361kph - the GTI isn't as fast as I thought

I had problems with my iPhone and my new Mk6  VW told me it will nto work on the USB or with the iPhone connector.  I purchased from Apple a connector from the iPhone earphone socket to the socket on the front of the arm rest.  Works fine that way.  But iPhone will not charge obviusly, need the lighter connection for that

I have had the rubber squeek/creak noise its deceptive from were its coming from  VW just use a silicone based spray. I used Autoglyms rubber care on cars that have suffered this in the past and it cured them all.

Brian, my iphone 3GS connects, plays and charges perfectly with the VW supplied ipod connector.

If I had driven 361 km/h, the creaks on the doors will be the last thing on my mind... he he he And thats prolly what caused the fingernail marks on the steering wheel.

hmmmm In my neighbourhood, there's 3 Golf MK VIs and all are United Greys... The Dutch sure loves the grey... On another matter, as an interesting trivia, I was informed that in the Netherlands 85% of the GTI orders are for the manual.
