Fitting Milltek
« on: 01 August 2009, 14:04 »

Bought a MIlltek downpipe and sports cat from another forum member to fit to my existing milltek cat back. However the connecting pipe that came with the DP won't fit into the sleeve of the non-res section I have as the connecting pipe diameter is too big.

The p/n's are all correct MSVW259 and MSAU343 so I can't understand why it won't fit maybe there's some sort of adaptor missing?

Anyone got any ideas?

PS I know its a Leon but these p/n's are the exact same ones as for the Golf GTI.

You need a down sizing sleeve and a couple of clamps - it's a small section about 4" long.

I may still have one left over from when I fitted the Milltek to my car - it needs cleaning up tho.

Got it sorted now, as the non res section had been clamped before it was just a bit too small a diameter for the connecting pipe to fit it. I had it opened out at my local longlife section and it fits now.
