vr6 conversion & ins

hi thinking about doing a vr6 conversion,just wondered if the ins will go up loads or not????????
also who's prob the best ins company for modded cars????

Hic will be the best. They will just insure it as a vr. Shouldn't cost any more than any other vr.

You may need engineer report to get it covered.

No it will not need to be re-reg, an engineers report is just needed to state the standard of work.

The insurance may be more as it is a conversion and not a factory car.

im with elephant at mo,but heard that they prob wont ins a modded car,or it will got up loads???? :cry:

hate to say it but you sound like another dreamer thinking its a quick chop and change with instant bhp. its only worth doing if you are going to do the swap yourself otherwise its completly pointless and you should just buy a factory one.. if you are going to do it then as mikester said try HIC for insurance

na im getting my mate to do it hopefully,he works for a company that is a specialist in this sort of thing :grin:lol
