Back to the original question.....yes, you can replace the grab handle with a sunglasses holder. Obviously, just make sure the distance between the two screwholes on the sunglasses holder is the same as that on the grab handle. I've replaced the driver's grab handle with a holder that originally came off a Passat listed on a well-known auction site. It's not a perfect flush fit as the shape of the roof is different, but it's secure enough, discrete in that it's the same grey colour as the headlining, and practical.
