A Quick Thank You
« on: 30 July 2009, 12:49 »
All,

Just a quick thanks for all the help and fun times I've had on here, particularly the Mk2 section. For those of you who don't know, my 16v has been scrapped (to cut a long story short it was uneconomic to repair considering the amount of rust it was suffering from, and then when someone offers you £2,000 for it...). I was really, really sad to see it go, but it was too good a deal to turn down.

I've bought a cheap E30 Beemer to tide me over while the search for a tidy Corrado VR6 continues, so long term I'll be sticking with VW!!

There have been times when I have been literally crying with laughter from threads on this forum, and there have been other times when the cumulative knowledge on here has been a real help. It was actually this forum that got me into older cars - I had a Mk4 and found out how to fix a few things via here, which got me into fixing my own cars, which led to the Mk2.

I'll pop in every now and again, so its not a goodbye. Cheers all,
Dave Waller

Indicators were probably an optional extra on beemers back then.

Mate I stayed on here when I had a Polo and with just the Rado. Golf ownership isn't required once you've been around a while.
