Hi from returning owner - tiny part needed
« on: 28 July 2009, 21:58 »
Bought the mrs a bright red mk5 gti

Only prob is the previous owners was …lets say politely well jewelled which has led to a number of scratches on the door handles

In particular I would like to replace the small sticker/transfer around the electric door mirror controls

Any idea where I could get this from??

I have the same problem with mine, the button for locking the rear elec windows is the same

Previous owner must have used some heavy duty cleaner. It looks like the black plastic sticker/transfer has melted.

I was planning on calling the deallers, i guess the parts department could get hold of them.

My mirror control label had been rubbed off by the previous and required a new switch assy as it is all one bit so to speak. About £22 I seem to remember.

Previous owner of mine had some nasty bashes to the grab handle with the electric window part in it,
Got a replacement off e bay for £14, 5 minute job to fix. Should be able to get the parts pretty cheap from VW though,
